This weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding at the wonderful farm in Pembrokeshire which was restored by Griff Rhys Jones on his TV series. With a party in a tipi, hog roast and a bonfire as the sun went down it was a very special day and Trehilyn really is a superb place to stay.
On the journey home we quite accidently stumbled upon the craft centre at Ruthin which we were really impressed with. As a part of the London 2012 festival the centre has exhibitions from jewellery and public art designer Wendy Ramshaw and artist Richard La Trobe-Bateman. There is also a poet, Tobias Hill and artist Eleri Mills in residence as well as loads of events throughout the summer. Well worth a visit for anyone who is in North Wales for a holiday.
While we were there we treated ourselves to some beautiful glassware from Bob Crooks as a reminder of a fantastic weekend.
