Favourite Summer finds from the Curve studio

summer highlights

We thought we’d share with you some of the exciting products we’ve come across over the past few weeks, either whilst sourcing for our ongoing projects or during meetings with some our favourite suppliers.

Jessie is working on an apartment in Manchester city centre at the moment, it’s a Victorian building which we are adding an industrial twist to, she loves the products from Mint especially this ‘Velvet reading armchair.’

Laura has discovered a beautiful collection of fabrics from Oxford based Tradescant and Son which we now have lots of samples of in the studio, the ‘Winter’s Bone’ collection is inspired by taxidermy and the wonderful collections of skeletal deer in the Museum of Natural History in Dublin.

We very much enjoyed our visit from new friends Remains Lighting especially as Lucy had just got back from New York and immediately started planning a trip back to the factory in Brooklyn! We really hope to use some of the products soon.

We’re all a bit obsessed with ‘Breaking Bad’ at Curve HQ this week and although the series doesn’t really inspire an interior style we just liked these periodic table artworks from Not on the High Street it could be a mini trend this Autumn, or a good gift for fans of the show!

Boca do Lobo have revealed some tantalising images of this amazing new piece of furniture the ‘Piccadilly’ cabinet .. a classic design embelished with an explosion of pixels we absolutely love it especially as we are based in Piccadilly ourselves! We are hoping to check it out in real life during London Design Festival in a few weeks time!

We’ve had great meetings with both Casa Deco and Designers Guild in the studio where we previewed the brand new Autumn collections and we’ll have books arriving very soon.

One of our favourite new products from Poliform this year is the ‘Wall Items’ system by Rodolfo Dordoni. We love the new finishes, it’s a fantastic piece for any living room or cinema room.

Curve have a couple of projects ongoing in Spain so we’ve been looking at some lighting from Aqua Creations. These beautiful lights are designed and manufactured in Tel Aviv and each piece is worked on by skilled artisans making them real works of art.

Portuguese Munna are one of our favourite brands. This morning we have delivered a beautiful plum velvet chair to one of our Cheshire clients to complete a living room scheme, we hope to have some photos soon so watch this space!

Curve are looking forward to the Independent Interiors Show in Manchester during September where we’ll be looking out for these mosaics, we’d love this in the studio it even features one of my favourite words ‘wowser’!!!!
