Curve at London Design Week 2014

Last week Ben was in London progressing our interior project in Surrey. While he was there he got the opportunity to visit Chelsea Harbour Design Centre for London Design Week. Highlights included the Tatler seminar featuring one of our favourites at the moment, Jessica Zoob for Romo – also new products at Porta Romana, new collection ‘Folie’ from Cole and Son, catching up with Poliform and Simpsons Mirrors.

Ben also managed to get an invite to the launch party of the new Ralph Lauren shop at One New Bond Street which was a great chance to see the fantastic home collection. He was also especially excited to meet yacht design hero Terence Disdale, recent recipient of the 2014 ShowBoats Design Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.

Uppermill .. before and after.

Last year Curve were appointed to work on the complete refurbishment of this fabulous house in Uppermill, Saddleworth. This was a dream project for Curve, being in one of our favourite locations to work. There was also a personal connection, as the client was Ben’s uncle’s colleague all the way from Houston, Texas!

Georgie and Ben took the project from the initial stages of planning a whole new layout to the house, totally stripped back the interior and refitted to include a beautiful hand made kitchen, new bathrooms and an attic recording studio. Each room was decorated and furnished, right down to the last details of lighting design and window treatments.

The new interior provided a perfect palette for the client’s eclectic collection of artwork and artifacts from around the world. The project is now completed and will be featured in full in our portfolio later this Spring .. for now we thought you’d like to see these snaps of how the house looked ‘before and after’ Curve got involved!
