Curve review of 2018

As 2018 comes to a close we’ve put together a short review of a fab year!

It’s been a busy and exciting year both in and out of the studio, we’ve worked with some fantastic clients and completed some amazing projects in some of the North’s most beautiful homes.

Blog - Milan, Pairs, BelgiumLaura and Ben started off the year with a trip over to Maison Objet. After a good look around the trade show, they headed off around Paris to check out some shopping and new suppliers including new favourite Atelier Alain Ellouz – you can see one of the lighting purchases installed in a project later in the year in the image below.

Visiting design events and shows is always a great way to extend our knowledge and get inspiration. We’ve been lucky enough this year to be invited to Belgium to Interieur 2018, a show we hadn’t been to before but loved. Lucy and Ben travelled as guests of an amazing brand Orac, who made us so welcome. We had the opportunity to tour their factory in Ostend which was fascinating. We love Orac’s products and look forward to working with them again during next year.

The team have also been to Decorex in London and Design Central in Cheshire, both great events which allow us to catch up with suppliers. In April Maria and Laura went to Salone del Mobile in Milan, the annual design pilgrimage never disappoints!

We make lots of time throughout the year to meet up with our furniture and fabrics suppliers to find out about new collections and get inspired. This means we always have the latest ideas and products to offer to our clients so it’s a very important part of what we do.

The highlight of Team Curve’s year was without doubt our trip to Italy to Maria and Valerio’s wedding! It was a magical occasion and we were very privileged to share the happiest day with them in the Tuscany countryside. We had a great time travelling around Pisa, Florence and Rome and we feel very lucky to work with such a great team of people who are also such good friends.
