Last weekend Maria visited one of favourite events of the design year – the Salone del Mobile in Milan .. here, she reports back on her favourite items from the exhibition along with some up and coming interiors trends which the team will be sure to be looking at during the coming months .. Grazie Maria!
“There it was again one of our favourite times of the year: Milan design week and Salone del Mobile! Every year we are looking forward to see what international design companies have prepared for this event and to find out new collections and trends.
At the beginning of the year we put together a list of colours that we thought would be ‘in’ for 2019, Salone del Mobile seems to confirm those colour trends. Load of earthy, deep tones, dark greens, ochres, prunes, muted oranges and dusty tones seem to be in most collections:
Naturals and whites keep going strong this year and shapes seem to have lost their sharp edges in most collections leaving space to more round and soft outlines.
Leaves and plants brought inside as complement for lights, printed on wallpapers/fabrics or simply used as decoration were largely used this year:
This year, as every other alternate year, Euroluce was on, it was so inspiring to see all those different lights!
Some retro vibes this year at Salone with some revisited pieces of furniture and lights:
Visiting these exhibition is always very inspiring and we are really looking forward for the next one, in the meantime…we can’t wait to make ours all these new products/ideas and use them in our projects in 2019″
